We are so excited to welcome you back to the Westfield Athenaeum without appointments starting June 21st. Our hours will be 10 AM to 7 PM Monday through Thursday, 10 AM to 5 PM on Friday and 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays. All three entrances will be open, and Library-to-Go pickup will move inside to the Adult Circulation desk – even if they are children’s items! Instead of splitting up families’ orders, they will all be together in one place. In order to follow the guidance suggested for educational institutions serving children, we will still be requiring masks inside at this time.
All ages Summer Reading begins June 21st, with this summer’s theme as Tails and Tales. We have a host of events scheduled on our Event Calendar, both in-person and virtual, and we can’t wait to see you. As a special sign up bonus, folks who come into the library in the first week (or while supplies last) of Summer Reading will get a goody bag for either signing up at the desk or letting a circulation library know that you have signed up. The website to do so is here on Beanstack. Children, teens, and adults each have their own special bags, so there’s fun for the whole family! Summer Reading ends on August 13th, and you can sign up at any time – so no worries if you miss the first week. However, only participants who read over 1000 minutes will be entered to win each age group’s grand prize, so get reading as fast as you can!
