Children’s Events
The Children’s Library offers a huge variety of free events for children of all ages. Below is a selection of regularly occurring events here at the library, and we have dozens of other events throughout the year. To sign up for events and to see the full list, please visit our event calendar. Most events require registration through the event calendar and tend to fill fast – if you see an event you or your child want to participate in, don’t wait, sign up today!
Events for Children
Infant Storytime
Join us each Thursday to listen to a story and do an activity!
For children ages 0-3.
Classic Storytime
Join us each Monday to listen to a story and do an activity!
For children ages 4-8.
GeoInvestigators
Children are invited to explore the world through maps, stories, investigations, and more! They’ll learn valuable skills like how to read a map and a compass through fun activities. Geoinvestigators is on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
For children ages 6-9. This program will resume after summer reading.
Crafternoon
Children are invited to stop into the library and complete an art project each month! All materials will be provided.
For children ages 4 and up.
Card Game Club
Are you interested in Pokemon? Maybe Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic: The Gathering? Come hang out with fellow fans to play and maybe learn a new game! No card trading will take place during Card Game Club; we ask that anyone interested in trading cards do so in the main library after the event is over.
For children ages 7 and up. This program will resume after summer reading.
Pokemon Club
Meet new friends and participate in a Pokémon themed activity each month! You are welcome to bring cards, toys, or games to share. No card trading will take place during Pokémon club; we ask that anyone interested in trading cards do so in the main library after the event is over.
For children ages 5 and up. This program will resume after summer reading.
LEGO Club
Meet with Mary on the third Wednesday of every month for a fun hour of LEGO building. No need to bring your LEGOs, we have plenty!
For children ages 7-11. This program will resume after summer reading.
Events for Teens
Teen Hangout
Join us for a chance to hang out, journal, craft, watch our favorite comfort shows and eat snacks! Comfort Items such as: Headphones, plushies, etc. are always welcome! 🙂
For teens in grades 6-12. This program will resume after summer reading.
Teen Movie Night
Chill with your friends while watching a movie! Snacks and drinks will usually be provided.
